About the role
We are seeking a Procurement and Operations Assistant Manager to lead sourcing and operational activities for contract manufacturers and suppliers across the APAC region. The role will support new product launches, supplier qualification, and drive continuous improvement in procurement and manufacturing processes.
Key responsibilities
- Drive sourcing initiatives for contract manufacturers and suppliers, including supplier evaluation, cost benchmarking, and RFQ/RFP processes.
- Manage relationships with assigned manufacturers and suppliers, monitoring performance on cost, quality, delivery, and capacity.
- Lead commercial negotiations and implement cost‑optimization initiatives to enhance supply‑chain efficiency.
- Oversee supplier readiness for new product launches, covering costing, trials, validation, and production ramp‑up.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to manage projects, mitigate supply risks, and ensure smooth production and supply continuity.
Required profile
- 5+ years of experience in procurement, manufacturing, or supply‑chain roles.
- Proven experience in sourcing, contract‑manufacturer management, and supplier selection.
- Strong capabilities in cost negotiation, RFQ/RFP management, and supplier performance monitoring.
- Effective stakeholder management and communication skills, with ability to work cross‑functionally and travel regionally when required.
