Procurement Senior Manager – Electromechanics

About the role

As a Procurement Senior Manager you will bring deep knowledge and operational expertise in the Accessories sub‑category, driving the category forward while supporting Sonova’s overall procurement function. Reporting to the Category Leader, you will own the sourcing, supplier onboarding and contract management phases for a range of accessories.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the procurement action owner for accessories such as prefabricated cables, conversion kits, transmission coils, programming instruments, battery chargers and other wireless hearing device components.
• Translate category strategy into world‑class sourcing activities and execute projects to meet targets.
• Monitor the global accessories marketplace, providing insights and data to shape sourcing and category plans.
• Establish and manage third‑party supplier contracts that align with Sonova’s objectives.
• Apply sustainable sourcing practices and identify innovation opportunities.
• Develop and maintain a pipeline of contract renewals and new projects.
• Collaborate with technical and financial stakeholders to create procurement phase plans.
• Deliver savings, reduce time‑to‑source and operate in compliance with Sonova processes.
• Manage stakeholder relationships, budget holders and fact owners across the sub‑category.
• Utilize Design to Cost principles and lead negotiation design and deployment.
• Maintain accurate supplier segmentation data and oversee supplier relationship management.
• Continuously seek improvements in cost, quality, innovation and sustainability.

Required profile

• 5+ years of procurement experience in the Directs area with specific knowledge of electronic device‑related products.
• Proven experience implementing strategic category strategies in a global, industrial environment.
• Ownership of end‑to‑end sourcing processes in line with policies, procedures and targets.
• Track record of developing fit‑for‑purpose contracts and resolving supply‑chain disruptions.
• Successful commercial experience both pre‑ and post‑sourcing.
• Ability to collaborate with and influence external vendors and internal stakeholder groups.
• Self‑starter, motivated and capable of playing a visible role in procurement.
• Demonstrated value creation through tangible commercial results.
