Procurement Specialist

About the role

Abbott is seeking a Procurement Specialist to join its Singapore manufacturing plant in Tuas. The role will support the Nutrition Supply Chain by managing end‑to‑end Source‑to‑Pay activities and ensuring compliance with purchasing policies.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the full Source‑to‑Pay cycle, including sourcing, RFP/RFQ, bid analysis, negotiations, contract management and PO creation.
• Renew and review contracts, ensuring legal considerations and service level agreements are met.
• Qualify new ingredients, packaging materials and key services, handling change‑control requirements.
• Collaborate with Global Procurement Category teams to align site sourcing with strategic priorities.
• Identify cost‑reduction and cost‑avoidance opportunities and drive procurement efficiency.
• Conduct tenders, consolidate responses, perform bid analysis and recommend contract awards.
• Partner with internal stakeholders to define requirements and establish service level expectations.
• Monitor supplier performance, manage relationships and support qualification of new suppliers.
• Document and audit purchasing policies, supporting Finance and Quality audits.

Required profile

• Experience in end‑to‑end procurement processes within a manufacturing or nutrition environment.
• Strong understanding of contract renewal, supplier qualification and change‑control procedures.
• Ability to work closely with global category teams and internal stakeholders.
• Proven track record of driving cost‑reduction initiatives and ensuring compliance.
