Product & Application Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a hands‑on Product & Application Engineer to support the development and setup of semiconductor automation equipment, focusing on Silicon Photonics testing and active alignment assembly systems. The role blends machine setup, troubleshooting, lab testing and engineering support, working closely with product managers and engineering teams.

Key responsibilities

• Support setup, testing and improvement of semiconductor automation and photonics systems.
• Assist with motion‑control configuration, servo tuning, and integration of motion and vision components.
• Set up vision systems, including camera alignment, lighting adjustment and inspection testing.
• Perform machine debugging, engineering tests, DOE runs and lab evaluations.
• Follow up on machine assembly, system integration and performance verification.
• Collaborate with engineering, production and product teams to resolve technical issues.
• Provide technical support for internal testing, demos and onsite customer assistance.
• Help prepare technical specifications, project proposals, application reports and related documentation.
• Support feasibility studies for new modules, components or applications.
• Maintain engineering records, SOPs and test reports.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Automation, Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Experience (or strong interest) in automation equipment, semiconductor machines, motion systems, machine vision or precision equipment.
• Hands‑on attitude for machine setup, wiring, testing and troubleshooting.
• Basic understanding of servo systems, sensors, cameras, lighting and alignment.
• Willingness to learn and work closely with multiple departments and customers.
