Product Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a motivated Product Engineer to drive technical excellence, operational efficiency, and continuous improvement across product repair and manufacturing activities. The role acts as the primary technical liaison between internal teams, external partners, and production operations, focusing on lean problem‑solving, cost reduction, and quality enhancement.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the main technical contact for product repair discussions and implementation with internal and external stakeholders.
• Lead technical evaluations and disposition decisions for production and repair challenges, including non‑conforming materials, processes, and products.
• Apply lean principles and structured problem‑solving methods to identify root causes, eliminate waste, and improve process stability.
• Drive productivity and cost‑out initiatives by reducing cycle time, rework, scrap, and other operational waste.
• Partner with cross‑functional teams to improve manufacturing and repair processes, enhance efficiency, and lower non‑conformance rates.
• Assess technical competency gaps and coordinate targeted training for product line technicians.
• Champion continuous‑improvement initiatives focused on safety, quality, delivery, productivity, and cost performance.
• Develop, document, and maintain SOPs, work instructions, and technical documentation.
• Participate in process validation and verification to meet company, customer, and regulatory requirements.
• Monitor, analyze, and report KPIs, supporting corrective actions and sustained improvement.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, preferably Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in operations, quality, process engineering, or product engineering.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and influencing skills.
• Ability to analyze technical issues and support decision‑making in a fast‑paced environment.
• Experience with heavy‑duty gas turbine component repairs is a strong advantage.
