Product Legal Counsel

About the role

We are seeking a Product Legal Counsel to join our global product legal team. The role supports the development and launch of core products, especially those leveraging AI, by providing legal guidance across jurisdictions.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive legal assessments of product features, AI model training, deployment and related functions, delivering clear legal opinions.
• Provide cross‑regional and cross‑functional legal support, collaborating with product, engineering, compliance and other teams to resolve complex multi‑jurisdictional issues.
• Identify and streamline legal processes, create guidelines for high‑frequency scenarios and train internal stakeholders.
• Assist business teams with day‑to‑day commercial transactions, draft and negotiate contracts, and support commercial operations.
• Handle additional tasks assigned by the manager.

Required profile

• Approximately 5 years of legal experience in the internet or technology sector, either from a reputable law firm or as in‑house counsel.
• Hands‑on expertise in at least one of the following: AI governance, data protection/privacy, minor protection, content moderation & safety, copyright, developer ecosystem, or media & entertainment law.
• Proven ability to analyze legal issues, draft opinions and negotiate agreements across multiple jurisdictions.
• Fluent in both Chinese (Mandarin) and English to work with global partners.
• Strong commercial awareness and the capacity to balance legal risk with business objectives.
• Agile thinker, effective communicator and experienced project manager in fast‑paced environments.
