Production Control Technologist - Fab 10 DAST

About the role

Micron is hiring a Production Control Technologist for its Fab 10 DAST site. The role covers daily production control activities such as wafer lot starts, lot monitoring, FOUP management, offload operations and WIP management, using data analytics and AI-enabled tools to monitor production flow and support timely decisions on material movement.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out daily production control activities including wafer lot starts, lot monitoring, FOUP management, offload operations and WIP management in line with fab priorities and output commitments.
• Use data analytics and AI-enabled tools to monitor production flow, identify bottlenecks, prioritize actions and support decisions on material movement.
• Support offload send/receive operations with accurate documentation, system transactions and compliance with manufacturing procedures.
• Monitor WIP levels, aging risks, cycle time impacts, carrier utilization and capacity constraints, and raise potential risks to Production Control Engineers and Manufacturing teams.
• Analyze production trends and operational exceptions with AI-assisted insights and digital dashboards, recommending actions to improve efficiency.
• Coordinate with Manufacturing, Warehouse, Equipment Engineering, Automation and other teams to resolve material flow issues such as carrier shortages, routing discrepancies and system mismatches.
• Process transactions accurately in MES, SAP and other manufacturing systems to keep inventory, recipes and data integrity intact.
• Support first-level troubleshooting of dispatch, logistics, automation or system issues using diagnostic tools and standard methods.
• Generate shift summaries, handover reports and issue documentation with AI-enabled tools, and share AI-enabled improvements with the team.

Required profile

• Nitec / Higher Nitec / Diploma in Engineering or Science, or relevant hands-on experience in semiconductor manufacturing and fab operations.
• Experience in a semiconductor fab environment (Manufacturing, Operations, Warehouse or related functions) is preferred.
• Willingness to work non-standard hours, including compressed schedules and 12-hour night shifts.
• Ability to work in a cleanroom for most of the time, fully smocked in accordance with cleanroom and safety requirements.
