Production Technician – Chemical Plant Operations

About the role

The Production Technician is a frontline position responsible for the safe, efficient, and reliable operation of chemical processing equipment in a manufacturing plant. You will monitor process parameters, perform routine checks, and ensure that high‑quality chemical products are produced while strictly adhering to safety and quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Operate assigned chemical processes to meet daily quality, production, and productivity targets.
• Monitor production parameters and exercise Stop Work Authority when deviations occur.
• Participate in monthly safety meetings and act as a member of the emergency response team, including full‑face respirator use.
• Assemble, disassemble, and perform basic maintenance on equipment during changeovers and process preparation.
• Operate and troubleshoot analytical testing equipment for in‑process and final product validation.
• Review, update, and maintain SOPs, work instructions, and learning resources to reflect current practice.
• Collaborate with supervisors to prioritize tasks and ensure continuous operational continuity.

Required profile

• Commitment to a zero‑deviation safety culture and willingness to enforce Stop Work policies.
• Ability to complete required training and qualifications and to work safely with personal protective equipment.
• Proactive attitude toward continuous improvement and documentation accuracy.
• Willingness to participate in emergency response activities and safety initiatives.

Required skills

• Operation of chemical processing equipment.

• Basic mechanical maintenance of production machinery.
