Production Technician

About the role

The Production Technician will support STERIS’s manufacturing operations by handling customer products from receipt through sterilisation and delivery. The role ensures smooth workflow, meets daily output targets, and adheres to strict safety and quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Receive, inspect, and prepare customer products for sterilisation.
• Operate sterilisation, testing, aeration, and loading processes.
• Monitor raw materials and service requirements.
• Record tasks in accordance with Quality Management and Customer Documents.
• Perform routine equipment maintenance and simple calculations.
• Suggest and implement continual‑improvement ideas.
• Assist the Production Supervisor/Manager with additional tasks as needed.

Required profile

• Vocational or technical degree (minimum NITEC level).
• Relevant experience in manufacturing or a service‑sector environment.
• Ability to work 12‑hour rotating shifts, including weekends.
• Attention to detail, teamwork, and flexibility.
• Basic English reading comprehension.
• No colour‑blindness and possession of a forklift licence.
