Production Technician

About the role

World Wide Technology is seeking a Production Technician to join its manufacturing team. The role involves building and cabling racks and cabinets, installing equipment according to detailed specifications, and ensuring all work meets quality and safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Install and integrate equipment into network, server, and telecom racks following build specifications and rack elevation documents.
• Route, manage, and terminate copper and fiber cables, as well as AC/DC power runs where applicable.
• Perform labeling of devices and cables per customer requirements and complete required paperwork and checklists.
• Troubleshoot hardware installations, conduct physical audits of equipment, and verify functionality.
• Train team members on standard procedures and contribute ideas to improve processes.

Required profile

• Minimum of 2 years progressive experience in a related production or technical field.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and follow detailed engineering drawings and wiring diagrams.
• Strong attention to accuracy, documentation, and compliance with codes and regulations.

Required skills

• Proficiency with manual and power tools.
• Reading and interpreting wiring diagrams, rack elevations, and cable run schematics.
• Cable management for copper and fiber, including termination and routing.
• Knowledge of AC and DC power systems.
• Equipment labeling and documentation skills.
• Hardware troubleshooting and basic electrical testing.
