Professional Services Architect

About the role

The Professional Services Architect at Dynatrace is responsible for the technical integrity, delivery viability, and customer outcomes of complex engagements. The role blends architecture, consulting, and implementation leadership to design scalable, supportable, and commercially viable solutions that enable customers to achieve observability, automation, and digital transformation goals.

Key responsibilities

• Lead discovery sessions, architecture workshops and technical advisory engagements to capture business objectives and success criteria.
• Design and govern scalable Dynatrace solutions across enterprise, cloud and cloud‑native environments, ensuring alignment with best practices.
• Own architectural quality and delivery readiness of engagements, guaranteeing scalability, supportability and commercial viability.
• Define implementation strategies, onboarding approaches, governance models and transition plans for long‑term platform adoption.
• Advise customers on observability strategies, integrations with cloud services, ITSM, security tools, CI/CD pipelines and other operational systems.
• Provide architectural leadership for RFP/RFI proposals, validating requirements and ensuring achievable commitments.
• Collaborate with Product, Support, Engineering and other internal teams to address complex requirements and technical escalations.
• Mentor consultants and partners, review solution designs and develop reusable assets to drive delivery excellence.

Required profile

• Typically 8+ years of experience in enterprise technology consulting, solution architecture, observability, platform engineering or related fields.
• Proven track record delivering enterprise‑scale solutions across hybrid and multi‑cloud environments.
• Deep knowledge of modern application architectures (microservices, containers, Kubernetes, serverless, APIs, distributed systems, messaging, databases, middleware).
• Strong understanding of telemetry and observability standards (OpenTelemetry, OTLP, logs, metrics, traces, events, SLOs).
• Experience with software delivery practices (CI/CD, IaC, GitOps, SRE, incident/problem/change management, DevSecOps).
• Ability to create clear architecture diagrams, decision records, implementation plans and executive narratives.
• Commercial acumen for scope control, estimation, assumptions, dependencies and outcome‑based value definition.
