Project Controls Manager - Data Center

About the role

Turner & Townsend is hiring a Project Controls Manager for data center construction projects in Singapore. The role develops and implements tailored project control concepts, manages costs, schedules and commercial issues, and works closely with the scheduler and the general contractor.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement tailored project control concepts for data center construction, ensuring precise cost and document control.
• Establish and communicate control and reporting processes throughout the project lifecycle.
• Drive major milestones such as cash flow, monthly pay applications, schedule management and final accounts.
• Manage commercial activities with the GC and key sub-contractors, oversee day-to-day project control and support change control and issue tracking.
• Collaborate with the scheduler on schedule progress reports and analysis, and assist in reviewing and evaluating subcontract change orders.
• Maintain budgets, review contractor invoices, coordinate implementation plans and present cost analysis to clients.
• Define work scope, prepare schedules and budgets for projects of various sizes, and contribute to a culture of safety, quality, speed and effectiveness.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in construction, project or cost management.
• Minimum 10 years of relevant cost control experience in data centers, hi-tech and similar large construction.
• Experience with administration, resource planning and contract management, including determining the validity of commercial claims.
• Strong analytical skills, adaptability to client-specific delivery models and effective communication with senior management.
• Ability to work independently and in a team, with strong organizational skills for concurrent activities.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Docs.
• Primavera P6 knowledge is advantageous.
• Basic understanding of variance analysis and in-depth expertise in cost estimates and planning.
