Project Engineer – Building Construction

About the role

We are seeking a Project Engineer to support the Assistant Project Manager in delivering building and construction projects across residential, industrial and commercial sectors. The role involves interpreting plans, estimating costs, and ensuring designs meet regulatory standards.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Assistant Project Manager in managing building and construction projects, including residential, industrial and commercial developments.
• Interpret project plans, estimate construction costs and material quantities.
• Prepare temporary works plans, designs and drawings for construction projects.
• Provide technical engineering input for tenders to ensure compliance with engineering standards, codes, specifications and design instructions.
• Prepare and evaluate cost estimates and documentation for tender and contract bids.
• Develop and review architectural and engineering drawings to ensure compliance with project specifications and regulatory requirements.
• Coordinate with architects, engineers and other technical professionals to ensure design intent is fulfilled.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering and Construction Management.
• Knowledge of building and structural details, working drawings and local construction practices.
• Familiarity with tender and bidding processes, engineering standards, and local building, construction and safety regulations.
• Willingness to attend construction sites as required.
