Project Engineer – Mechanical & Electrical (M&E)

About the role

We are looking for a Project Engineer (M&E) to support the planning, coordination and delivery of mechanical and electrical building projects in Singapore. The role works closely with the Project Manager and various stakeholders to ensure projects are executed on time, within budget and to quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Project Manager in planning, coordinating and managing M&E projects from inception to handover.
• Supervise daily site activities, ensuring works follow approved drawings, specifications and schedules.
• Coordinate with clients, consultants, subcontractors, suppliers and authorities for smooth project execution.
• Review and prepare shop drawings, material submissions, method statements, progress reports and testing & commissioning documents.
• Monitor project progress, identify site issues and resolve technical and coordination matters.
• Manage procurement of materials and equipment required for the projects.
• Oversee subcontractor performance, safety, quality and progress on site.
• Lead testing, commissioning, handover activities and preparation of as‑built drawings and O&M manuals.

Required profile

• Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
• 3–5 years of experience in M&E building construction projects in Singapore.
• Proficiency in English and Mandarin.
• Ability to start work immediately or within a short notice period.

Required skills

• Proficient in AutoCAD.
• Knowledge of BIM software (advantage).
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
• Familiarity with M&E systems.
