Project Finance Intern

About the role

Mitsubishi UFJ Financial Group (MUFG) is recruiting a Project Finance Intern for its Asian Investment Banking Division, Project Finance Department, based in Singapore. The internship runs from 11 January 2027 to 30 June 2027 and supports the Shared Resource Team, which handles origination, execution and management of financial advisory and limited recourse financing transactions in the power, renewables, oil & gas, natural resources and infrastructure sectors. The role is open to Singaporean and PR students only.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse projects and run financial models to assess bankability and support credit decisions
• Research and review industry information and due diligence reports
• Prepare business and credit memos to pursue business opportunities
• Generate presentation materials, pitchbooks and proposals
• Prepare credit papers
• Carry out other ad hoc and administrative tasks such as KYC checks, client onboarding and data entry into bank systems

Required profile

• Singaporean or PR student
• Basic accounting and a strong finance background
• Energetic, determined problem solver, diligent with a strong work ethic and a team player

Required skills

• Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint and Word
• Good oral and written communication skills
• Ability to build complex financial models
