Project Manager - Electrical Automation Projects

About the role

ABB's Distribution Solutions Division is looking for a Project Manager in Singapore who manages the delivery of complex electrical automation and digital systems projects, from handover through execution to close-out. The role reports to the Project Operations Manager and follows a hybrid work model.

Key responsibilities

• Manage project execution end to end, coordinating schedules, resources, risks and deliverables in line with ABB policies, contract terms, cybersecurity standards and customer expectations.
• Oversee financials, invoicing, cash flow, budgets, costs, resource use and recovery plans to support profitability.
• Act as main point of contact for customers and stakeholders, coordinate internal and external teams and support tendering activities.
• Direct project governance, procurement, contract management and HSE implementation, and drive improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Project Management, Control & Automation or a related field.
• 5-8 years of project management experience in electrical, power distribution, switchgear, automation, infrastructure or related industrial sectors.
• Experience managing power automation or process automation projects and stakeholder partnerships in a matrix organisation.
• Demonstrated focus on safety, integrity, compliance and HSE requirements.

Required skills

• Solid knowledge of project management methodologies, contract management, project financial controls, risk management and scheduling techniques.
• Familiarity with PLC, RTU, SCADA, DCS and industrial protocols such as Modbus, OPC, IEC 61850 and IEC 104.
