Project Manager – Engineering Projects

About the role

The Project Manager (PM) is the senior leader responsible for the overall governance, planning, execution and delivery of Saipem projects. Reporting directly to the Project Director or Sponsor, the PM ensures that projects meet client requirements, are delivered on time, within budget, and comply with HSE, quality and sustainability standards.

Key responsibilities

• Represent Saipem to clients, licensors, partners and subcontractors, managing all contractual aspects.
• Plan, coordinate and control project execution, ensuring alignment with client specifications, cost targets and schedule constraints.
• Implement risk and opportunity management, knowledge‑capture, lessons learned and cost‑of‑non‑quality methodologies.
• Supervise quality, HSE and sustainability activities across the project team.
• Approve and monitor planning and cost‑control activities, applying corrective actions as needed.
• Generate project and portfolio dashboards and reports for business‑line management.
• Oversee home‑office engineering, procurement, and site/yard/offshore activities.

Required profile

• Demonstrated ability to lead large, complex engineering or construction projects.
• Strong understanding of Saipem procedures, Golden Rules and Silver Guidelines.
• Proactive attitude in applying project‑management tools and methodologies.
• Commitment to Saipem’s leadership model and corporate values.
