Project Manager – Marine, Offshore & Shipbuilding

About the role

ICF is looking for an experienced Project Manager to lead marine, offshore, shipbuilding and construction projects. You will be responsible for delivering projects safely, on schedule and within budget while coordinating multiple internal and external stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Review project specifications and clarify requirements with the Commercial Team.
• Develop and manage the Project Execution Plan (PEP), including schedules, budgets and resource requirements.
• Lead kick‑off, client and coordination meetings, and manage day‑to‑day project activities.
• Coordinate manpower, subcontractors, vendors and site‑related issues.
• Liaise with Design & Engineering on technical matters, drawings and design requirements.
• Raise Technical Query Requests and Clarification Requests, ensuring proper documentation and billing of additional works.
• Ensure compliance with HSE, quality standards and applicable regulations.
• Review and substantiate subcontractor and vendor progress claims.
• Prepare and submit progress reports to management and clients.
• Coordinate site inspections, ship inspections and Factory Acceptance Tests.
• Maintain complete project records and oversee handover of documentation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Marine, Civil or Electrical Engineering, Project Management, Business Administration or a related field.
• 5–10 years of project‑management experience in shipbuilding, marine, offshore or construction projects.
• Proven experience in project planning, budget control, scheduling, contract administration and vendor coordination.
• Strong leadership experience managing project teams, clients, vendors and subcontractors.
• Good understanding of HSE requirements, quality assurance processes and site inspections.
• Familiarity with SOLAS, IMO and classification‑society requirements for marine projects.

Required skills

• Proficiency in MS Project or other project‑management software.
