Project Officer, Business Development

About the role

Science Centre Singapore is looking for a technically minded, operationally driven Project Officer to join its Business Development department. The role plays a key part in bringing world-class travelling exhibitions to life and delivering exceptional visitor experiences, in a hands-on, fast-paced environment.

Key responsibilities

• Set up and operate travelling exhibitions: coordinate logistics with partners and vendors, ensure installations are correct, and keep operations running smoothly once live.
• For exhibitions deployed overseas, go on site to lead and guide local handlers and uphold the Centre's standards.
• Coordinate the operational side of MICE events held at the Centre's venues, working with internal teams from planning meetings to pack-down.
• Support project management of the commercial portfolio, including sales and marketing support where needed.
• Carry out ad hoc consultancy work to help shape new opportunities.

Required profile

• At least one year of relevant experience in exhibitions, events or technical operations, or a STEM degree.
• Hands-on experience or strong interest in the technical set-up of such environments.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively, and openness to local and overseas travel.
• Ideally a keen interest in science and technology.
• Candidates with more experience may be considered for a Senior Project Officer position.
