Project Site Manager

About the role

The Project Site Manager will lead the execution of electrical engineering projects on Jurong Island, overseeing installation, testing and commissioning of MV/LV switchgear, transformers, UPS, and related systems. This role ensures safe, efficient delivery in line with client specifications and regulatory standards.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise site activities such as cable tray installation, cable pulling, panel installation, cable termination, testing and commissioning.
• Manage site teams including supervisors, subcontractors, vendors and technical personnel to meet project schedules and quality targets.
• Monitor progress against approved drawings, specifications, method statements, risk assessments and contractual requirements.
• Coordinate with clients, consultants, contractors and internal teams to resolve technical issues and maintain smooth execution.
• Conduct site inspections, QA/QC checks and ensure compliance with BCA requirements and applicable standards.
• Investigate electrical faults or equipment failures and implement corrective and preventive actions.
• Prepare and review project documentation such as progress reports, inspection reports, test records, certificates and handover documents.
• Provide regular updates and reports to senior management and ensure adherence to workplace safety practices.

Required skills

• Experience with MV/LV switchgear, transformers and UPS systems.
• Proficiency in cable tray installation, cable pulling and cable termination.
• Knowledge of panel installation, testing and commissioning procedures.
• Strong QA/QC and inspection capabilities aligned with BCA standards.
• Ability to investigate electrical faults and implement corrective actions.
