Purchasing Executive

About the role

DSO National Laboratories is seeking a Purchasing Executive to support its engineering division by sourcing commercial off‑the‑shelf (COTS) parts and materials required for defence research and development projects. The role focuses on timely, cost‑effective procurement while ensuring compliance with internal policies.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and source COTS electronic, mechanical and RF components to meet project timelines.
• Create, process and track purchase orders, ensuring on‑time delivery of goods and services.
• Monitor order status, resolve delays or issues, and maintain accurate procurement records.
• Ensure all procurement activities adhere to DSO’s policies, procedures and compliance standards.
• Maintain organized files for purchases, shipments, and related documentation.

Required profile

• NITEC or Diploma in Electronics, Purchasing, or RF Communication.
• Proficiency with procurement software and the Microsoft Office Suite.
• Solid knowledge of electronic and mechanical parts and components.
• Proven experience as a Purchase Executive in the electronics industry or a similar role.
• Strong organizational and time‑management abilities; able to work independently and as part of a team.
