QC Analyst (Product Testing)

About the role

Lonza is hiring a QC Analyst (Product Testing) at its Tuas site. You will test and analyse in-process and finished product samples in line with SOPs and cGMP, keeping documentation accurate and data integrity intact. You will also support lab operations, sample logistics and analytical methods such as HPLC and spectroscopy, and contribute to continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out testing and analysis of bulk, in-process and stability samples in a timely way to meet business needs.
• Analyse samples according to SOPs and test methods, and record results in line with cGMP.
• Troubleshoot analytical methods and equipment problems.
• Take part in method transfers and validation, and in equipment qualification and technical selection of QC equipment, standards and reagents.
• Review assay trends, revise and update documents.
• Support general lab work: housekeeping, equipment maintenance, inventory and ordering of supplies, and glassware management.
• Work 12-hour rotating shifts.

Required profile

• Degree or diploma in Chemistry, Science or an equivalent field.
• Relevant work experience, preferably lab experience in a biotech or medically related field.
• Willingness to work 12-hour rotating shifts.

Required skills

• Good understanding of HPLC, Capillary Electrophoresis (CE), TOC, Osmolality, protein concentration (A280 or SoloVPE) and other physicochemical methods.
• Understanding of spectroscopy and other assigned methods, including chromatography.
• Use of Empower software.
