QC Specialist - Project (2-Year Contract)

About the role

GSK is looking for a QC Specialist for a 2-year contract to support the projects team with Quality Control activities for the new projects introduced at GSK Tuas Vaccines. The role represents the Tuas QC unit and works with global QC and global Manufacturing Science and Technology (MSAT) on QC validation and operations, including test method validation, analytical equipment qualification, method transfer and laboratory capacity. It also supports the local QC unit in taking part in method development and validation and preparing for lifecycle management.

Key responsibilities

• Lead method validation, development, verification, transfer and the introduction of new equipment or technology, and perform testing as required.
• Advise the projects team on technical QC matters to ensure compliance with corporate, regulatory and external agency regulations.
• Work with global and local QC stakeholders on analytical transfer plans, validation master plans, cost management and training plans, and collaborate on test method innovation and facility design.
• Write or review change controls, deviations, CAPAs and GMP documents such as SOPs, protocols and reports.
• Keep spending within the project budget and respect safety, security and laboratory policies.
• Plan and execute the transition from project mode to routine QC operations and share knowledge through training.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in chemistry, biochemistry, microbiology, life sciences or a related discipline.
• Minimum 4 to 6 years' experience in a QC or analytical laboratory, preferably in pharmaceutical or life sciences settings.
• Practical knowledge of GMP principles and laboratory quality systems.
• Hands-on experience with analytical methods and laboratory investigations, and experience coordinating method validation, verification or transfer.
• Good written and verbal English.
• Preferred: advanced degree, experience with stability testing, regulatory inspection support, and experience leading or coaching small teams.
