Quality Control Assistant – Food & Beverage (Singapore)

About the role

As a Quality Control Assistant in the Food & Beverage division, you will support the QC laboratory in daily operations, ensuring that samples are received, prepared, and analysed according to strict quality and safety standards. You will work closely with cross‑functional teams to validate raw materials, incoming shipments and reference samples while maintaining accurate documentation.

Key responsibilities

• Receive and prepare samples for sensory evaluation and routine physical, chemical and sensory analyses.
• Manage retention samples and retrieve reference material from storage.
• Assist with basic laboratory tests and support sensory triangle test preparation.
• Enter data and maintain documentation in SAP as required.
• Support the QC team in handling customer complaints and internal rejections.
• Follow Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) and company safety policies at all times.
• Provide assistance to other QC teams and undertake additional tasks as assigned.

Required profile

• Minimum diploma in a science‑related field or equivalent.
• At least 1 year of experience in the flavor & fragrance industry or a comparable laboratory environment.
• Knowledge of laboratory safety and GLP is mandatory.
• Strong command of written and spoken English.
• Team‑oriented, self‑driven and able to make sound decisions.

Required skills

• SAP for data entry and documentation.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
• Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) and laboratory safety procedures.
• Basic sensory evaluation techniques.
