Quality Engineer

About the role

The Quality Engineer will support the organisation’s quality assurance function, ensuring products and processes meet internal and external specifications. The role involves supplier management, quality planning, and continuous improvement of the quality management system.

Key responsibilities

• Manage qualification of new materials and suppliers, and drive incoming material quality.
• Conduct supplier audits, maintain rating systems, and promote continuous improvement.
• Develop and implement quality control plans for production processes.
• Monitor quality indicators such as SPC, yield and defect rates to drive process improvements.
• Handle non‑conforming material and product investigations.
• Maintain and update the ISO 9001 Quality Management System, including documentation control.
• Manage corrective action reports (CAR) and calibration management system.
• Plan and execute internal audits and prepare for third‑party and customer audits.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline (preferred).
• Experience with QMS, ISO 9001 audits and quality tools (GR&R, FMEA, SPC, MSA).
• Strong analytical mindset, ownership, and ability to work independently.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, capable of presenting at all organisational levels.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and ability to manage documentation.
• Ability to travel and work under tight timelines.
• Experience in solar, semiconductor or electronics manufacturing is advantageous.
