Quality Inspector II

About the role

UCT is seeking a Quality Inspector II to ensure that semiconductor‑related products meet the highest standards of quality and safety. The role involves performing mechanical inspections, measuring components, and generating accurate reports in a fast‑growing manufacturing environment.

Key responsibilities

• Perform mechanical inspections of raw materials, components, fabricated parts and assemblies, including first‑piece, receiving, in‑process and final inspections.
• Measure parts and components using handheld tools and CMM equipment, generate detailed inspection and non‑conformance reports.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, travelers, BOMs, specifications and GD&T callouts to ensure compliance.
• Support internal teams, suppliers and customers on quality‑related issues and maintain a clean, safe work environment.

Required profile

• 2–5 years of experience in a machine shop, assembly clean‑room, semiconductor or similar manufacturing environment.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency with MS Office and basic database applications.
• Ability to work accurately with basic math and follow production instructions.

Required skills

• Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T).
• Mechanical measurement techniques and workmanship standards.
• Use of micrometers, calipers, optical comparator and other handheld measuring tools.
• Operation of Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) for basic measurements.
• Interpretation of weld symbols, wiring and crimping requirements.
• Precision sheet‑metal inspection.
• Reading and applying engineering drawings, specifications and BOM schematics.
• MS Office and database software proficiency.
