Quality Inspector Technician

About the role

Pratt & Whitney, an RTX business, is looking for a Technician (Quality Inspector) at its facility in Seletar, Singapore. The role covers visual and dimensional inspection of aircraft component parts and repairable parts, ensuring they meet manufacturer specifications and regulatory technical data.

Key responsibilities

• Perform visual and dimensional inspection of incoming and outgoing aircraft component parts.
• Inspect incoming, in-process and final repairable parts against related documents and required repairs.
• Ensure parts are repaired according to prescribed standards and procedures.
• Understand inspection tolerances, limitations and procedures set by the product manufacturer.
• Carry out inspections in line with regulatory-approved technical data.
• Run SAP transactions and make changes to work orders in SAP.
• Attend EHS training and take personal responsibility for safety compliance.
• Support continuous improvement programmes and CORE (Customer Oriented Results & Excellence) activities.

Required profile

• Diploma in Engineering or a relevant discipline.
• 2 years of experience using inspection equipment and visual inspection aids, or no experience if eager to join the aerospace industry.
• Ability to understand basic technical instructions and SOPs.
• Commitment to night shift and overtime as needed.

Required skills

• Good working knowledge of MS Office and SAP.
• Meticulous attention to detail and hands-on approach.
• Self-motivated, able to work independently, with good communication skills.
• Preferred: aerospace, manufacturing or precision engineering experience, and familiarity with airworthiness and regulatory requirements.
