Quality Management System (QMS) Technician

About the role

The Quality System Engineering Technician supports the implementation, maintenance and continuous improvement of the Quality Management System (QMS). The role ensures compliance with applicable standards, company procedures and customer requirements through documentation control, audits, data analysis and corrective action support.

Key responsibilities

• Support the administration and maintenance of the QMS in line with standards such as ISO 9001 and IATF 16949
• Assist with document control: creation, revision, distribution and archival of controlled documents, and keep quality records traceable and accessible
• Assist in planning and supporting audits, track findings, action items and closure status, and prepare audit evidence
• Assist in investigating quality issues and root cause analysis, and track Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA)
• Collect, compile and analyse quality data (audit results, CAPA status, KPIs) and prepare reports and dashboards for management review
• Maintain quality performance metrics and trend analysis
• Support quality improvement initiatives and cross-functional improvement activities
• Support coordination of quality-related training and maintain training records and competency matrices

Required profile

• Nitec, Higher Nitec or Diploma in Mechanical, Materials, Electrical, Electronics Engineering or a closely related discipline
• Able to work 12-hour rotating shifts
• Attention to detail for accuracy in documentation, reporting and task execution
• Self-driven, able to work independently, and able to prioritise and solve problems in fast-paced environments
• Clear communicator with strong stakeholder influence and collaborative team player

Required skills

• Familiarity with AI tools such as Python, Power Automate, Power Apps, Power BI and Tableau
• Knowledge of FMEA, change management, measurement system analysis, calibration and other quality and statistical methods is advantageous
