Quality Technician 2

About the role

Collins Aerospace, part of RTX, the world's largest aerospace and defence company, is hiring a Quality Technician 2 for its Bedok site in Singapore. This is an onsite position focused on product inspection and quality documentation.

Key responsibilities

• Perform first-piece, in-process and final inspections according to the Job Instructions Sheet plans.
• Carry out First Article Inspection (FAI) and Delta FAI in line with AS9102 requirements.
• Perform dimensional inspection using a range of inspection gauges and equipment.
• Initiate a Quality Notification (QN) when products do not meet quality and engineering requirements.
• Maintain gauges and inspection equipment properly and document inspections, including stamping quality paperwork.
• Maintain and improve 5S standards on workstations and work areas.
• Follow company EH&S policies, the quality policy and communicate well with colleagues at all levels.

Required profile

• NITEC or Higher NITEC qualification in Precision or Mechanical Engineering or higher.
• At least 2 years of experience in a quality control environment.
• Able to interpret basic technical (GD&T) drawings and proficient with hand gauges such as micrometers, dial indicators and height gauges.
• Good command of written and spoken English.
• Willingness to work weekly rotating shifts.

Required skills

• Preferred: CMM programming experience and basic knowledge of coordinate measuring machines (Carl Zeiss / Wenzel).
• Preferred: understanding of CORE tools.
• Preferred: NDT MPI Level 2 certification.
• Preferred: general proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word; SAP is an advantage.
