Quantity Surveyor – Construction Cost Management

About the role

We are seeking a proactive Quantity Surveyor to join our building and construction team in the Ubi area. The role involves overseeing project budgets, managing cost controls, and ensuring financial compliance from tender to final account.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and monitor project budgets, ensuring delivery within financial targets.
• Oversee the full project lifecycle, from tender submission to final account preparation.
• Prepare procurement lists, obtain subcontractor quotations, and draft subcontract documents.
• Record and track defects, maintain variation order documentation, and submit VO costs promptly.
• Coordinate monthly progress claims with the Project Manager.
• Evaluate subcontractor VO claims and ensure procedural compliance.
• Process payment certificates for subcontractors and issue payment advice to clients.
• Handle progress claims, payments, variation orders, and project finalisation.
• Perform ad‑hoc duties as assigned.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline.
• Strong communication and coordination abilities to liaise with colleagues, subcontractors, and suppliers.
• Capability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Good knowledge of local construction standards and regulatory requirements.
