Quantity Surveyor – Construction Projects

About the role

The Quantity Surveyor will manage commercial and contractual aspects of construction projects across Singapore, handling cost estimation, tender preparation, contract administration, progress claims and final accounts. The role works closely with clients, consultants, contractors, subcontractors and suppliers to ensure cost control and contractual compliance throughout the project lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare cost estimates, quantity take‑offs and tender documents.
• Review drawings, specifications and project requirements for accurate pricing.
• Administer construction contracts, monitor obligations and review commercial terms.
• Prepare and assess progress claims and payment applications, verifying completed works.
• Evaluate and manage variation orders, ensuring costs stay within approved budgets.
• Review subcontractor and supplier quotations, negotiate prices and commercial terms.
• Maintain accurate records of contracts, quotations, claims, variations and other commercial documents.
• Prepare and negotiate final accounts upon project completion.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Civil Engineering or a related field.
• Relevant experience in the construction industry, preferably in Singapore.
• Good knowledge of construction contracts, cost estimation, tendering and quantity measurement.
• Familiarity with progress claims, variation orders and final accounts.
• Strong analytical, negotiation, communication and organisational abilities.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Experience with Quantity Surveying software (e.g., CostX, WinQS or similar).
