Quantity Surveyor – Entry Level

About the role

We are seeking a motivated and detail‑oriented Quantity Surveyor to join our Tender & Contracts team. The role supports tender preparation, cost estimation, quantity take‑offs and contract administration for civil engineering projects in Singapore.

Key responsibilities

• Review tender documents, drawings and specifications to identify scope and commercial risks.
• Prepare detailed cost estimates, cost plans and Bills of Quantities (BOQ).
• Carry out quantity take‑offs for civil works such as earthworks, drainage, roadworks and utilities.
• Attend tender briefings, site visits and walkthroughs.
• Source, evaluate and compare quotations from subcontractors and suppliers.
• Prepare and issue tender enquiry packages to subcontractors where applicable.
• Conduct price analysis and commercial evaluations to support tender decisions.
• Assist in negotiating contract terms with subcontractors and suppliers.
• Prepare and compile tender submissions, including pricing breakdowns and clarifications.
• Support tender analysis, evaluation and recommendation reports.
• Maintain proper documentation and records for audit and contract compliance.
• Liaise with internal stakeholders for pre‑contract and post‑contract administration.
• Ensure compliance with contractual obligations and Singapore regulations.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the immediate superior or Head of Department.

Required profile

• Diploma or Degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, Construction Management or a related discipline.
• Fresh graduates and entry‑level candidates are welcome.
• Basic understanding of construction methods, materials and civil engineering works.
• Knowledge of measurement rules and BOQ preparation.
• Ability to read and interpret civil engineering drawings and specifications.
• Strong willingness to learn and develop in a fast‑paced construction environment.
• Good communication skills and a positive working attitude.
• Ability to work independently as well as in a team.
