Quantity Surveyor

About the role

The Quantity Surveyor will support the Senior Quantity Surveyor in managing costs and contractual matters for both main and sub‑contracts on construction projects. This role involves accurate measurement, cost reporting, and close collaboration with site teams to ensure financial and contractual compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Measure quantities accurately to prepare progress payment claims, variation order claims, and final accounts for subcontractors and suppliers.
• Prepare regular cost reports and maintain maintenance budget cost controls.
• Document site events to support variation order and extension of time (EOT) claims.
• Coordinate with site storemen to ensure proper materials control documentation.
• Understand project specifications and advise structural, architectural, and M&E coordinators on design requirements.
• Assist in procuring subcontractors and suppliers for specified materials.
• Attend technical meetings, monitor design developments, and raise cost escalation alerts.
• Stay informed on contractual and legal rights of the main contractor to advise site personnel and management.

Required profile

• Degree or Diploma in Quantity Surveying, Building, or Civil Engineering.
• At least 1 year of experience in tendering, estimating, and quantity measurement on building projects valued at S$25 million or more.
• Strong analytical abilities.
