Quantity Surveyor

About the role

The Quantity Surveyor will support the Senior Quantity Surveyor in managing costs and contractual matters across main and sub‑contracts for construction projects. This role involves accurate measurement, cost reporting, and assisting with procurement and documentation to ensure smooth project delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Measure quantities accurately to prepare progress payment claims, variation orders, and final accounts for subcontractors and suppliers.
• Prepare regular cost reports and maintain maintenance budget cost controls.
• Document site events to support variation order and extension of time (EOT) claims.
• Collaborate with site storemen to ensure proper materials control documentation.
• Understand project specifications and scope to advise structural, architectural, and M&E coordinators on design requirements.
• Assist in procuring subcontractors and suppliers for specified materials.
• Attend technical meetings, monitor design developments, and raise cost escalation alerts.
• Stay informed on contractual and legal rights of the main contractor to advise site teams and management.

Required profile

• Degree or Diploma in Quantity Surveying, Building, or Civil Engineering.
• Minimum 1 year experience in tendering, estimating, and quantity measurement on building projects of at least S$25 million.
• Strong analytical abilities.
