Quantity Surveyor, M&E

About the role

AECOM, a global infrastructure consulting firm, is looking for a Quantity Surveyor for mechanical, electrical and plumbing (MEP) services in Singapore. The role covers cost estimation, contract administration and liaison with clients, consultants and contractors on MEP matters.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out cost analyses and prepare cost estimates for MEP services
• Interpret engineering drawings and specifications to calculate MEP project costs
• Prepare and manage MEP contracts, including main and nominated sub-contracts
• Measure and take off quantities for MEP work elements
• Assess variation orders and prepare interim valuations
• Compile and administer contract documents for execution
• Undertake cost analysis for repair and maintenance of MEP works
• Prepare and agree on final accounts for MEP projects
• Liaise with clients, consultants and contractors on MEP matters and attend meetings as required

Required profile

• Degree or diploma in Mechanical, Electrical or Building Services Engineering from a recognised university or institution
• At least 4 years of postgraduate experience in project management, cost estimating, tendering and pre- and post-contract administration of mechanical or electrical disciplines may be considered for a senior position
• Applicants holding a degree in Building or Quantity Surveying who are conversant with mechanical and electrical building services may also be considered
• Responsible, self-motivated and enthusiastic, with good interpersonal, teamwork, communication and written English skills
