Regional Commercial Manager – Structural Steel & Scrap Metal

About the role

The Regional Commercial Manager will lead the sales and commercial performance of structural steel and scrap metal products across the assigned region. You will be responsible for driving new business, negotiating contracts, and ensuring that commercial terms support sustainable growth in the construction sector.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute a regional commercial and sales strategy for structural steel products and services.
• Identify, pursue, and secure new business opportunities with contractors, developers, and fabricators.
• Lead contract negotiations, ensuring terms are competitive, compliant, and aligned with risk and profitability targets.
• Manage the full commercial lifecycle from tendering and quotation through contract award and delivery hand‑over.
• Build and maintain long‑term relationships with clients, consultants, and key industry stakeholders.
• Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and pricing to inform strategy.
• Collaborate with engineering, production, and project teams to ensure commercial commitments are deliverable.
• Prepare and present commercial proposals, tenders, and reports to senior management and clients.
• Track regional sales performance against targets and report on revenue, margin, and pipeline metrics.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Civil/Structural Engineering, Metallurgy, Business or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in structural steel sales or commercial roles within construction.
• Strong expertise in contract negotiations and commercial law.
• Excellent interpersonal and presentation abilities.
