Regional Group Manager, Ecommerce Merchandising Unit

About the role

A market leader in retail is introducing a new omni role in the region: Regional Group Manager, Ecommerce Merchandising Unit. The role leads, motivates and develops the Ecommerce Merchandising unit in Region South Asia (Singapore, Malaysia, Vietnam, Philippines, India) in an omni direction, supporting Merchandise Managers in setting and driving omni and concept strategies. It is a permanent position.

Key responsibilities

• Maximise profitable net sales and customer base for the region, short and long term, and drive omni net sales through the Ecom channel
• Analyse regional sales and customer behaviour, identify opportunities and threats, and set priorities
• Support the omni regional reduction plan with relevant stakeholders and business units
• Set omni ways of working and processes for the merchandising unit, and collaborate with other regional functions on commercial and customer plans
• Follow up the final customer offer, apply learnings and ensure a balanced product and customer activation approach
• Collaborate with Demand & Supply, E-commerce Commercial, Customer Activation and other functions on stock, sales and reduction levels
• Lead, motivate and develop the team, identify talent and strengthen collaboration across channels and functions

Required profile

• +3 years of experience in Merchandising, Visual Merchandising, Assortment office or similar, preferably with an ecom focus
• Strong, proven leadership experience in building high-performing teams in a dynamic environment
• Sales-driven with strong commercial awareness and salesmanship
• Able to work independently and collaboratively

Required skills

• P&L, sales and forecasting knowledge and experience
• Planning, buying and stock management experience
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint
