Regional Head of Chartering Procurement – Asia Pacific

About the role

Lead chartering and procurement activities for Maersk Project Logistics across the Asia Pacific region. You will shape supplier relationships, negotiate commercial terms, and ensure HSSEQ compliance for complex project cargo.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain strong relationships with vessel owners, shipbrokers, carriers and specialised logistics providers.
• Lead commercial negotiations on freight rates, charter agreements, service contracts and other commercial terms.
• Support business development, solution design and operations teams to create competitive logistics solutions.
• Monitor supplier performance against KPIs, conduct regular reviews and drive continuous improvement.
• Ensure HSSEQ requirements are embedded in supplier qualification, selection and performance management.

Required profile

• 8‑10+ years of experience in project logistics, chartering, vessel procurement, break‑bulk or heavy‑lift sectors.
• Strong network with vessel owners, shipbrokers, carriers and specialised logistics providers across Asia Pacific.
• Proven track record negotiating freight, chartering and logistics contracts.
• Ability to work effectively in a matrix organisation and collaborate across functions and geographies.
