Regional Relationship Management Intern

About the role

Mitsubishi UFJ Financial Group (MUFG) is looking for an intern to support its Regional Relationship Managers within the Global Corporate Banking Division for Asia and the Global Subsidiary Banking Department. The internship runs from 11 January 2027 to 30 June 2027 and is based in Singapore. The intern will gain an understanding of the job of Relationship Managers and of best-practice relationship management, and will work with APAC GSB business leads and Relationship Managers across US, EMEA and APAC clients.

Key responsibilities

• Support APAC GSB business leads and Relationship Managers with portfolio management for their clients.
• Analyse the MUFG client base and generate insights, prioritisation models and origination ideas, including identifying high-potential clients and products and tracking subsidiary opportunities.
• Assess the geographic footprint of priority clients and identify key metrics to drive profitability across the region.
• Improve management information by analysing and refining Excel models and cleaning up data across the client base.
• Review and enhance origination materials such as pitchbooks and the pitchbook generation process.

Required profile

• Open to Singaporean and PR students only; the internship is open to students from the university partners listed in the original posting.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Interest in learning about front-office, client-facing sales and origination processes and the role of a Relationship Manager.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
• Data analysis capabilities and advanced Excel proficiency are advantageous.
