Regional Sales Manager (Pumps)

About the role

A German company that designs, manufactures and produces side channel pumps for applications such as chemicals, oil and gas, petrochemicals, marine and general industries like paper and paint is recruiting a Regional Sales Manager based in Singapore to support its development in Southeast Asia. The role reports directly to the Managing Director and calls for a strong technical sales background and a passion for consultative sales on engineering projects.

Key responsibilities

• Develop the action plan for Southeast Asia to grow business and reach sales targets
• Manage the distributor network across the region, including training, engaging and communicating with distributors on a daily basis
• Provide technical expertise and support to distributors on consultative sales and customer service
• Follow up leads with distributors and ensure client meetings to sell the technical advantages of the side channel pumps
• Follow up on sold projects so that delivery meets all requirements
• Maintain weekly reporting and daily communication with the German headquarters

Required profile

• Strong technical sales background in an engineering-related field, preferably in pump sales
• Appetite and passion for engineering, technical sales and consultative sales
• Knowledge of chemicals, O&G, petrochemicals, marine and industries such as paper and paint is highly appreciated
• People skills to manage a network of distributors
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Highly self-motivated and autonomous, as this is a sole contributor role
