Research and Development Technician (1-Year Contract)

About the role

You will support product developers in creating beverage prototypes, preparing samples, and maintaining laboratory equipment at our strategic concentrate manufacturing plant. The role involves hands‑on work in a safety‑first environment, ensuring accurate documentation and compliance with confidentiality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare beverage, syrup and flavoring prototypes under guidance, meeting specification and sensory criteria.
• Operate pilot‑plant and lab equipment such as balances, pumps, fillers, and capers to produce small‑batch samples.
• Conduct analytical, taste and odor tests according to established guidelines.
• Maintain, troubleshoot, calibrate and perform preventative maintenance on laboratory instruments.
• Record results in lab notebooks, manage files and report findings to product developers.
• Organise storage of prototypes, samples and ingredients; handle packing, receiving and shipment via online tools.

Required profile

• 1‑2 years experience in food/beverage or pharmaceutical quality control or laboratory operations.
• Diploma or bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Food Engineering or related field (preferred).
• Current right to work in Singapore; no visa sponsorship required.

Required skills

• Laboratory equipment operation (balances, pumps, fillers, capers).
• Analytical testing and sensory evaluation.
• Calibration, troubleshooting and preventative maintenance of instruments.
• Sample preparation and handling.
