Research Assistant – AI for Quantitative Trading

About the role

Join Nanyang Technological University’s College of Computing and Data Science as a Research Assistant focused on applying artificial intelligence to quantitative trading and financial investment. You will work alongside faculty and graduate students to develop innovative AI-driven strategies.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct literature reviews and research on AI applications in quantitative trading and finance.
• Design and develop a new AI solution to identify optimal trading strategies.
• Run experiments to evaluate the efficiency and performance of the proposed solution.
• Analyze data collected from field surveys and perform comparative assessments.
• Author research papers to communicate findings and results.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related discipline (preferred).
• Experience and knowledge of financial markets and quantitative trading.
• Strong computer programming abilities.
• Good understanding of software engineering principles (a plus).
• Excellent teamwork, verbal and written communication skills.
• Independent, highly analytical, proactive, and capable of innovative research.
