Research Fellow – AI Image/Video Watermarking & Video Processing

About the role

The Nanyang Technological University (NTU) College of Computing and Data Science is seeking a Research Fellow to advance cutting‑edge AI methods for image/video watermarking and video processing. The role involves developing novel deep‑learning models, evaluating them against state‑of‑the‑art baselines, and translating research outcomes into systems for industry partners.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct literature reviews to identify gaps in existing models.
• Design and implement state‑of‑the‑art deep‑learning methods, including foundation and diffusion models.
• Train, evaluate, and benchmark models for image/video watermarking and video processing tasks.
• Prepare research papers, technical reports, and system prototypes for commercial partners.
• Supervise junior researchers and master’s students.

Required profile

• PhD in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electronics Engineering or a related field.
• Strong analytical mindset, independence, and ability to work in multidisciplinary teams.
• Demonstrated record of publications at top AI conferences or journals (e.g., CVPR, ICCV, NeurIPS, ICML, ICLR).
• At least 4 years of research experience, including PhD studies.

Required skills

• Deep learning, especially foundation models and diffusion models.
• AI editing methods and generative model properties for image/video watermarking.
• Open‑object detection, video summarization, and key‑frame extraction techniques.
• Strong software implementation capabilities.
