About the role

The Nanyang Quantum Solutions team at NTU Singapore is looking for a Research Assistant to develop quantum algorithmic solutions based on Riemannian geometry. You will work closely with Prof. Marek Gluza, contributing theoretical support for experimental quantum hardware.

Key responsibilities

Perform quantum compilation and optimise code for execution on quantum hardware such as Helios or Heron.
Support quantum‑algorithm research by handling auxiliary data‑processing tasks.
Analyse and evaluate new research directions and their feasibility.

Required profile

Bachelor’s degree in mathematics, physics, computer science or a related discipline.
At least one year of research experience in quantum computing (e.g., final‑year project).
Strong written and oral communication abilities.
Ability to work independently, meet strict timelines and maintain meticulous attention to detail.

Required skills

Solid understanding of quantum computing fundamentals as presented in Nielsen & Chuang’s textbook.
