Research Assistant – Quantum Sensing

About the role

The Centre for Quantum Sensing Technology at Temasek Laboratories, NTU, is seeking a Research Assistant to support experimental work on next‑generation quantum sensors. You will join a multidisciplinary team focused on cold‑atom sensing, quantum photonics, quantum materials, and superconducting sensor technologies.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct experimental research on quantum‑sensing materials, including development, characterization, and device fabrication.
• Assist with laboratory operations such as procurement of supplies, experimental setup, and establishing safe work procedures.
• Document experiments accurately in consultation with the project leader.
• Monitor, repair, and maintain equipment and process tools.
• Support project‑related events, publications, proposals, and reporting activities.

Required profile

• BSc or BEng in physics, engineering, materials engineering or a related field.
• Prior experience in quantum‑related research is advantageous.
