About the role

The School of Physical and Mathematical Sciences (SPMS) at Nanyang Technological University, Singapore, is looking for a Research Associate to join the laboratory of Dr Cyrus Mostajeran. The post contributes to the research agenda of the project 'Geometric Optimization and Design in Learning and Robotics'. The position is based at the NTU Main Campus.

Key responsibilities

Obtain rigorous mathematical results at the interface of geometry, analysis and data science
Design, implement and test algorithms
Engage in scientific exchange with the project's collaboration partners
Prepare reports, scientific papers and presentations

Required profile

Master's degree in Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science or Engineering
Advanced knowledge of one or more of: analysis, differential geometry, optimization, mechanics, biophysics, robotics or control theory
Enthusiasm for applying advanced mathematical tools to data science and robotics applications
Good communication skills

The project duration is 6 months. Only shortlisted candidates will be notified.
