Research Associate – Nano-Bio Interaction Analysis

About the role

The School of Chemistry, Chemical Engineering and Biotechnology at Nanyang Technological University seeks a Research Associate to investigate nano‑bio interactions using nanofabricated chips and high‑resolution imaging. The role focuses on elucidating how membrane geometry guides biomolecule assembly in disease progression and drug delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Assist and lead research projects under the Principal Investigator, delivering measurable progress.
• Coordinate sub‑projects and collaborative work across the Nano‑Bio Interface Lab.
• Prepare scientific manuscripts, grant proposals, and literature reviews.
• Supervise junior team members and train new laboratory personnel.
• Manage laboratory operations, including ordering supplies, equipment maintenance, and safety compliance.

Required profile

• Minimum Master’s degree in biological sciences, biomedical engineering or a related field.
• Research experience in nanofabrication, in‑vitro reconstitution, and fluorescence microscopy imaging.
• Motivated, with strong laboratory planning and leadership abilities.
• Ability to work in a multidisciplinary team and quickly learn new techniques.
