Research Engineer – AI & Data Science for Digital Health

About the role

The Asian Centre for Health Behavioural Insights & Interventions (HABITS) at NTU is seeking a Research Engineer to support AI‑driven digital health projects. You will work closely with Pillar Leads and Directors to manage research operations, develop grant proposals, and translate AI research into practical health interventions.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, validate, and deploy AI algorithms for digital health and research initiatives.
• Lead technical innovation by exploring emerging AI methodologies.
• Support data platform development, retrospective data collection, and analysis.
• Collaborate with researchers, clinicians, coordinators, and biostatisticians to deliver project outcomes.
• Publish findings in high‑impact journals and present results to stakeholders.
• Prepare technical reports and research updates for project leadership.
• Mentor junior AI researchers and contribute to team capability building.

Required profile

• PhD or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field.
• Entry‑level candidate with demonstrated expertise in AI, machine learning, deep learning, or digital health technologies.
• Strong understanding of clinical research and healthcare data.
• Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills.
