Research Engineer (Water Recycling for Aquaculture System)

About the role

The Research Engineer will lead a comprehensive study on water recycling within an aquaculture system, aiming to deliver high-quality recycled water that supports sustainable fish production. The role combines hands-on system operation, laboratory analysis, and advanced data modelling. Collaboration with multidisciplinary teams will be essential to translate findings into practical solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Design, install, and operate the pilot water recycling system for the aquaculture facility, ensuring optimal performance and compliance with safety standards.
• Perform regular water and sludge sampling, conduct laboratory analyses to monitor water quality parameters, and document results.
• Create, train, and validate machine-learning models that predict system performance under varying operational conditions.
• Analyze experimental data, generate technical reports, and draft scientific manuscripts for publication.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant engineering or environmental science discipline.
• Strong written and spoken communication skills.
• Willingness to work under a fixed-term contract.
