Research Fellow – 2D Ferroelectric Materials & Devices

About the role

The CINTRA joint laboratory at Nanyang Technological University seeks a Research Fellow to advance the preparation and fundamental characterization of two‑dimensional ferroelectric materials and devices. The role combines hands‑on experimental work with data analysis, manuscript preparation, and mentorship of junior researchers.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare 2D ferroelectric materials for device integration.
• Characterize ferroelectric polarization using PFM, P‑E loop testing, and electrical pulse switching.
• Demonstrate reconfigurable photo‑responsivity of the samples.
• Fabricate and test devices based on the prepared materials.
• Collect, analyze, and interpret experimental results.
• Draft manuscripts and project reports.
• Mentor undergraduate and master’s students involved in the project.
• Assist the principal investigator in preparing new research proposals.

Required profile

• PhD in Electronics, Materials Science & Engineering, Physics, or a related discipline (entry‑level candidates welcome).
• Minimum of 2 years of hands‑on experience with 2D ferroelectric material characterization and device design/fabrication.
• Strong publication record on 2D ferroelectric materials and devices.
• Familiarity with lithography, 2D material transfer, and PFM techniques.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Attention to detail and strong data‑handling abilities.
